A product that everyone loves
For a long time, we offered our clients the modular office system (CPS) in order to meet a need for a more collaborative workspace (meeting rooms, employee lounge, laboratories, etc.) at the very heart of their operations. The pressing need to isolate themselves from noise, cold (winter), heat (summer), production operations while remaining close to them made this option more than attractive: it had become "THE" solution. If the client was considering a small project, the CPS was very advantageous in terms of costs. On the other hand, when the project took on the proportions of a modular complex, the costs were roughly the same as a so-called traditional construction. Nevertheless, there was a significant advantage: the installation of modular offices did not disrupt operations in any way - "Business goes on!" - and then, the client could save money where traditional construction could only offer irritations, delays and interruptions to operations.
A shoemaker with very good shoes
Since it worked so well for others and we were convinced of the value of this option ourselves, we decided on this solution for our employees. Our logistics group, working in the warehouse, was distributed in such a way that communication between members was always by telephone. Out of sight, out of mind? Not necessarily. Let's just say that interventions in a file required more effort to achieve the same results. In order to make the workflow faster and without interruption, we decided to bring all members together in one place by installing a modular office in the warehouse, right under our main mezzanine. We only had to install two ModTech walls and use the two existing walls. The suspended ceiling and sprinklers were already in place. And the electricity? We had to connect it to the modular office. And the heating? And the air conditioning? That also had to be installed by qualified electricians.
Then, we recovered the two existing workstations and purchased two new workstations (Rousseau Métal furniture). Today, the logistics group has increased the power of its efficiency by simply having all its employees close to each other. Communication is now more fluid, work more harmonious and solidarity unwavering.
